On the first floor – Carr has designed an interior that personifies the essence of a refined guest lounge. Our approach shifts from traditional sales pitches to a true hospitality experience, inviting visitors to feel at ease and engaged.
The interior concept is anchored by Melbourne’s moody and seasonal nuances. The entrance is via an open staircase, featuring a striking paper-cut “Untitled” artwork by Melbourne artist Geoff Nees.
The design integrates Wenge wood, cast-bronze metals, and plush textiles, with warmer tones evoking both comfort and elegance. Each material, object, and artwork were selected for its authenticity, contributing to an understated luxury that pays tribute to The Hour Glass brand.
By merging retail with hospitality, our design aims to create spaces that extend beyond mere commerce. Customers are encouraged to unwind in a sophisticated lounge and explore the nuances of horology. This retail experience extends beyond functionality and transactions, expressing a mindset that permeates every aspect of the interior.
The space can be social, calm and educational – presenting an immersive escape that deepens the connection to The Hour Glass brand.
