Carr is thrilled to have four projects shortlisted for the 2023 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) – a program celebrating the best of Australian interior design.
IDEA is Australia’s largest independent design awards program. Launched in 2003, the program celebrates the best of Australian interior and product design across 14 categories.
835 High Street, nominated within the Residential Multi category, creates a new benchmark for medium density housing by using core design principles, considered apartment planning and high-end materials. Shortlisted in the popular Residential Single cohort, Refinery House retains its history while transforming into a comfortable four-bedroom guest house defined by a reflective and monochromatic palette of old and new.
We also have MinterEllison Adelaide featured in the Workplace Over 1000 sqm category. Framing and celebrating Adelaide’s treasured Brutalist buildings, our interior design pays homage to the city’s contextual elements, materials and vistas, transforming MinterEllison’s office into a light and open professional environment. Lastly, Parramatta Square Public Realm provides comfort within a bustling hub and is shortlisted within the Public Space category.
Winners are selected by a jury of leading design professionals and will be announced at the IDEA Gala in November.
