Carr is pleased to share the elevation of Lucy Cuthbertson as Practice Manager, and Kenneth Wong and Ashleigh Ward as Associate. The appointments further expand the next generation of leaders at Carr.
Recently celebrating 10 years with the studio, Lucy Cuthbertson first joined Carr as part of the architecture team. Working across a diverse range of projects from bespoke residential homes through to larger-scale multi-residential developments she has distilled key learnings to better inform the way we live.
Now as Practice Manager, Lucy oversees the smooth operations between leadership, business and design teams. Assisting with change management within the studio, she will be taking the lead in Carr’s move to 116 Rokeby later in the year. “I am looking forward to Carr’s next chapter as we embark on the studio’s continued commitment to delivering considered and timeless spaces with integrity,” shares Lucy.
Carr is also thrilled to announce two more leadership elevations within the team, reinforcing the business across key disciplines and sectors.
APEC registered architect Kenneth Wong has been promoted to Associate, having been an advocate for considered design with a responsible environmental and social agenda. With over a decade of architectural practice across Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and Singapore, Kenneth is highly proficient in his communication with clients and consultants while achieving project aspirations from both a design and commercial perspective. Kenneth says, “I enjoy bringing an energy to each collaboration, where new territories are explored on a project through creative, technical and strategic contributions.”
Also promoted into the leadership team as an Associate is interior designer Ashleigh Ward. With an established portfolio of end-to-end project involvement across commercial and hospitality endeavours, Ashleigh has developed a strong sensibility for crafting commercially viable and thoughtful workplaces that present an intuitive and harmonious aesthetic. She steps into the role at an evolving time for the commercial sector, managing complex and shifting requirements with her interpersonal skills and inclusive leadership style. “I seek to inspire confidence within the team to be generous with their ideas and embrace their learnings, rather than being afraid of them. This is the foundation for realising original and long-lasting built outcomes,” shares Ashleigh.
On the promotion, CEO Nick Carr says, “The elevation of Lucy, Kenneth and Ashleigh marks an exciting expansion of our leadership team, supporting and achieving excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects. Each of their expertise across architecture and interior design truly echoes Carr’s philosophy for innovative, enduring and timeless design.”
